The Planned vs. Actual report allows you to compare the planned routes vs. the routes taken and results of those routes side-by-side. In this article, we will explain how this report works and how to export this information.

What is the Planned vs. Actual report?
This analytics report will show a side-by-side comparison of the routes planned and the actual results of those routes. This report is updated in real-time.
Accessing the report
To get to the Planned vs Actual report:
- Go to the “Analytics” tab
- Choose “Planned vs. Actual” from the left menu
- Adjust the time range to find the routes you want to compare
You can only select up to 30 days at a time.
Report data
This report shows a breakdown of the orders during a time period and a comparison of the planned routes and the actual routes serviced. Below you can see the information available in the report:

Order summary

This column shows the order information including:

Driver route summary |
The table is split up by each driver’s route during that time period in chronological order. The driver route summary shows:

Stop Number |
If allowed, drivers can perform stop numbers out of sequence. |
Scheduled at |

Duration |
When drivers use the driver app to start/stop service, the actual duration is calculated and sent to the dispatcher. Durations less than 1 minute will appear as 0. |
Status |
This is the order status which is the result of the service and can be any of the following:
“-” means no status was recorded by the driver or the dispatcher. This will show as “Scheduled” in the plan. |
POD Exceptions | When using barcode scanning, this column will alert you if there were any issues with the scanning process. |
Notes | This column exposes the “Notes” field from the order detail. |
Custom fields | Any custom fields you have associated with the order can also be exposed in this report. |
Exporting the report
This report can be exported to Excel. To do this:
- Go to the “Analytics” tab
- Choose “Planned vs. Actual” from the left menu
- Adjust the time range to find the routes you want to export
- Click “Export” in the top left corner of the table
