What is live ETA?
This feature is built into OptimoRoute to give you visibility as to what is happening in the field at a glance. It will also give you an idea how these real-time ETAs affect future jobs. If the actual start or end time for a job is different from what was scheduled, the start and end times for that day’s future jobs will be recalculated.
This information will be adjusted and updated automatically throughout the day – all you need to do is have the "Live" tab open to see how the day is progressing.
Tip: The Live ETA feature will give you the most accurate results if your drivers regularly mark the status of their jobs via the mobile app. However, even when they don’t, their GPS locations and driving speeds are used to calculate, recalculate and update all of your job start and end times. |
Viewing live ETA information
Once your routes have been optimized and the schedule has been sent to your drivers, you can view the live ETA in the "Live" tab.
To view the live ETA information:
- Click on the "Live" tab
- Go to the table below the map
- Add/view the columns "Scheduled time", "Service start", "Service end", and "Actual duration"
Reading the table
The columns are defined as follows:
- "Scheduled time" is when the order was planned to be serviced
- "Service start" shows when the service actually began
- "Service end" shows when the service actually ended
- "Actual duration" will show the length of time that a job actually took
Expected times are listed in grey and will be updated automatically throughout the day, as soon as real-time information from the mobile apps is received.
Delays are shown in orange
And jobs running early are shown in green.
