When to copy orders
Copying orders creates a duplicate of all the order information. Copy orders when you want to reuse an existing order. This works well for repeat work that does not need a regular schedule.
For example, if a customer needs the same service again next week, you can copy the existing order and then make any needed changes.
Choose the option based on why you need an order on another date.
| Option | Use it when |
|---|---|
| Copy orders | You want to reuse an existing order on another date. |
| Reschedule | A failed, rejected, or canceled order still needs to be completed on a future date. Rescheduling will keep a record of the failed attempts. |
| Recurring orders | The same work needs to happen on a regular schedule. |
|
|
If the work repeats on a predictable schedule, use recurring orders instead of manually copying the same order each time. |
