Changing drivers on planned routes
Once you have planned your routes, you can change the driver assigned to a route.
Driver panel
To change the drivers of a planned route from the driver panel:
- Go to "Plan & Optimize"
- In the driver panel on the left, select the driver whose route you want to change.
- Click "Switch" at the top of the driver panel
- Choose the driver you want to swap routes with
- Click "Switch driver"
OptimoRoute then swaps the routes assigned to the two drivers.
Routes tab
To change the drivers of a planned route from the routes tab:
- Go to "Plan & Optimize"
- Go to "Routes"
- Select the driver's route you want to swap
- Click "Switch driver"
- Choose the driver you want to swap routes with
- Click "Switch driver"
OptimoRoute then swaps the routes assigned to the two drivers.
Constraints and swapping drivers
If the change breaks any routing constraints, OptimoRoute shows a warning. You can choose to ignore those constraints and continue with the manual change.
| If your routes are already live, you can still change the assigned drivers. First, deactivate the routes, then switch the drivers. |
