What is commercial truck navigation?
This feature is a built-in GPS navigation system in the OptimoRoute Driver App that gives you turn-by-turn directions and voice instructions to get you to your order locations while avoiding road restrictions for commercial vehicles like height and weight limitations.
This navigation is an extension of the commercial truck route optimization capabilities found in OptimoRoute.

Navigation routing results
Commercial truck navigation will route the driver based on the route provided by the dispatcher. However if there is a need for re-calculating the route, the navigation will still respect commercial truck routing rules.
This means the navigation will navigate the driver to comply with:
- Roads with height, length, width or weight restrictions
- Incompatible tunnels and bridges with restrictions*
- Roads with steep inclines that can be avoided using other routes
- Prohibited and designated roads based on local truck access regulations
*It is possible that bridges with weight constraints will be chosen for a route if no other routes are available. |
