After you've created your routes, you'll be able to see an overview of those routes, make changes to whole routes, and export them. In this article, we'll show you how to do this.

Viewing the planned route summary
Route summaries are automatically generated after planning. To see an overview of your routes:
- Go to "Plan and Optimize"
- Click on the "Routes" tab
- Find a date or planning range (for weekly planning) where you have routes
In the "Routes" tab, you will get an overview of the routes you have planned for those selected dates.
By default this overview will contain:
Column | Definition |
---|---|
Driver | The driver assigned to the route. |
Vehicle | The vehicle assigned to the driver of the route. |
Distance | The total planned driving distance of the route, including start and end locations. This will include totals for each route and a total for all of the routes. |
Duration | The total planned time the driver will spend out on the route, including start and end locations. This will include totals for each route and a total for all of the routes. |
# stops | The number of stops planned for this route, including breaks and depot stops. |
Start time | The planned start time of the route, assuming the driver leaves the depot or start location at the time their work shift begins. |
End time | The planned end time of the route. |
Load capacities | Any load parameters you have active will also appear in the route summaries including their capacity totals for each route and for all the routes. |
This route summary only shows the planned routes. To see a comparison of the planned vs. actual routes, visit the analytics section. |
Adding more data to route summary
There are other columns you can also add to your route summary. To add additional data:
- In the "Routes" tab, click on any of the data columns
- Click on the arrow that appears
- Click the option called, "Columns"
- Enable or disable columns to show in the route summary.
Additional data includes:
Column | Definition |

Shift Utilization | This is a calculation of the percentage of the driver's shift spent servicing orders, excluding their break. |
Shift Efficiency | This is a calculation of the percentage of the driver's shift spent servicing orders vs. driving. |
Shift Duration | This is the total driver's work time excluding their break if they have one. |
Service Duration | This is the total time the driver is planned to spend servicing orders during their route. |
Efficiency | This is a calculation of the percentage of the route spent servicing orders vs. driving. |
Break | The planned time range for the driver's break. |
Editing routes
In the "Routes" tab, you can make some changes to your planned routes.

Locking routes |
By clicking the "lock" symbol, you can lock your routes to prevent them from being changed by the routing algorithm when planning. Click the "lock" symbol again to unlock the routes. You can also lock and unlock routes by clicking the buttons "Lock routes" and "Unlock routes" for selected routes. |
Unschedule routes | Unschedule all the orders on the route(s) chosen. |
Switch driver | By selecting a single driver, you can click the "Switch driver" button to swap routes. |
Reverse route | This allow you to reverse the sequence of the route(s) chosen. |
Copy routes | This will copy the route to a new date and assign it to an available driver on that date. |
Exporting the planned route summary
To export your route summary to Excel:
- Go to the "Plan and Optimize" tab
- Choose a date with routes planned
- Click the blue "Share Routes" button under the map
- From the dropdown, choose "Excel export"
- Choose "Route summary"
- Choose if you want to export all shown routes, or those from a specific range
- Click "Export routes"
This route summary will be exported in Excel and includes the following information:
- Driver
- Serial number
- License plate number
- Vehicle Label
- Start date
- End date
- Day of week
- # stops
- Start time
- End time
- Break
- Capacities
- Distance
- Duration
