Updating order status from driver app
When the driver is out in the field and is using the driver app, the order status will either be updated based on driver actions in the OptimoRoute Driver app.
Status | How it's updated |
---|---|
Scheduled | This is the default status for any order that has been sent to drivers. This cannot be set by the driver. |
On Route | Once the driver clicks, "Start navigation" on an order, or the driver is on duty and moving towards their sequenced stops, the order status will automatically be updated to "On Route". |
Servicing | When the driver clicks, "Start service", the order status will automatically be updated to "Servicing". |
Rejected | When the driver clicks "Reject" on the order, then the order status will show as "Rejected". This can only be undone by the dispatcher. |
Failed | When a driver marks an order as "Failed", then the order status will show as "Failed." This can only be undone by the dispatcher. |
Completed | When a driver marks an order as "Complete", then the order status will show as "Completed." This can only be undone by the dispatcher. |
Updating order status from dispatch app
When drivers are done for the day, you may notice mistakes or items that need to be corrected. You can check the order statuses in the "Live" tab or in the "Plan and Optimize" tab.
As a dispatcher, you have the power to overwrite these order statuses to make sure everything is correctly reflected on your side. Once an order has been scheduled and sent to a driver on a live plan, then you’ll be able to access the order status overwrite.
Update an individual order
To change the order status for a single order:
- Select the order you want to overwrite
- Open the details to edit
- In “Basic info”, find the “Order status overwrite” checkbox
- Choose the correct status
- Update the correct start/end time if applicable
- Click “Save”
Now your order will reflect the correct order status in your order grid and in analytics.
Updating start and end time
The following statuses will ask for you to input a start and end time. The suggested start time will be that of the originally scheduled time. The suggested start time will be based on the originally scheduled time plus the original duration of the order.
For example:
- Scheduled time: 9:25 AM
- Duration: 15 minutes
- Suggested Service Start: 9:25 AM
- Suggested Service End: 9:40 AM
Order status | Start time | End time |
---|---|---|
Scheduled | No | No |
Completed | Yes | Yes |
Failed | Yes | Yes |
Rejected | No | Yes |
Cancelled | No | Yes |
Update multiple orders
