What does grouping orders do?
When you have multiple orders of the same type at the same location, you can group them so they appear as one order in the OptimoRoute Driver app. This helps drivers view all the order details at once and complete proof-of-delivery actions for all grouped orders in one go.
Enabling grouped orders at a location
To set this up:
- Go to Administration→Settings
- Then from the left menu, choose Driver App → Configuration
- Scroll down to find the “Order Information” section
- Click the checkbox to group orders at the same location
- From the dropdown, choose how these orders will be shown in the driver’s to do list
- Click “Save”
The "Order List Display" setting defines what information is shown to the driver in their to-do list.
Results
So how does this look to the drivers? Let's look at the different ways this setting is applied to the driver app.
To Do List
When orders are grouped at the same location, they will show in the driver’s to-do list as one single order tile. Remember that different order types will not be grouped together.
Order Details
When the driver opens the order details, they will see all the order details grouped together like notes and order IDs.
Proof of Delivery
Drivers will also be able to perform bulk proof of delivery. However, drivers will still have the option to select individual orders to complete.
