What is the ETA time range?
The ETA time range is a time window displayed to your customers that tells them when their order should arrive. Your customers will see this time range on their tracking pages and customer notifications.
Default settings
The ETA time range configuration has default settings which are used to calculate how this time range is shown to your customers.
There is 30 minutes added to the time before the scheduled order time and 90 minutes added after. The scheduled time is also rounded down to the nearest 15 minute interval.
For example:
- Scheduled time is 6:09 AM
- It is rounded down to 6:00 AM.
- We add -30 min to the start value of 6:00 AM to 5:30 AM
- We add 90 min to the start value of 6:00 AM get the end value 7:30 AM
- Which gives us the range of 5:30 AM - 7:30 AM that is shown to your customer as the ETA the day prior to service.
So if the…
- Scheduled time is 6:20 AM the time window shown is 5:45 AM - 7:45 AM
- Scheduled time is 6:28 AM the time window shown is 5:45 AM - 7:45 AM
- Scheduled time is 6:42 AM the time window shown is 6:00 AM - 8:00 AM
- Scheduled time is 6:57 AM the time window shown is 6:15 AM - 8:15 AM
