You can send route instructions to your drivers by email. This article explains how to email routes to drivers from OptimoRoute.

Sending planned routes via email
Drivers must have a valid email in their driver profile to receive routes by email.
To send routes to drivers by email:
- Go to “Administration → Drivers.”
- Double-click on the driver you want to send emails to
- In the “Details” section, add a valid email address.
- Go to “Plan and Optimize.”
- Choose the date with the routes you want to send.
- Click “Share routes” below the map.
- Choose “Email routes.”
- Select one of the available email options.
Email options
You can choose from these options:
- Send emails to all drivers
- Send emails to selected drivers
- Send all routes to one email address
Send emails to all drivers
This sends each driver their assigned route using the email address in their driver profile.
Send emails to selected drivers
This lets you send routes only to specific drivers that you have selected.
First, select the routes in the “Route” tab. Then choose this email option.
Send all routes to one email address
This sends all routes to one email address that you enter.
Each route will arrive as separate emails.
What drivers receive
The route email can include:
- Location name
- Address
- Estimated arrival time
- Time window
- Notes for the driver
- Capacity fields
- Legacy custom fields
- A link to start navigation using a supported navigation app installed on the device
The email layout adjusts to smartphones, tablets, and desktop computers.
