Set maximum number of orders per driver

You can limit how many orders a driver can carry by using load capacities. This article explains how to set an order limit for each driver.

Who can use this feature
	All plans
	Users that have administrator privileges
	All regions

Setting up number of orders capacity

To limit the maximum number of orders per driver, we first need to set up a new capacity constraint. To do this: 

1. Go to Administration→Vehicles→Capacities
2. Enable a new capacity constraint by clicking on the checkbox
3. Change the label to "Max orders"
4. You can leave the unit blank or write in "Orders"
5. Save changes

Next, set up the default values for vehicles. 

1. Go to Administration→Vehicles.
2. Double-click on a vehicle to edit it
3. In the Details tab, set the default value for the maximum number of orders in the "Max Orders" field that you created in the previous step.

Add load value to orders

Next set the load value for orders to 1. 

You can do this in a few ways: 

• Edit an individual order or in bulk
• Add the value upon import

Editing load value 

You can change this manually by editing the orders either individually, or in bulk. 

Importing load value

You can set this value during import in the load column you use for the order limit. In this example, the order limit uses Load #3.

Planning with order maximums

When you are ready to plan, go to "Plan and Optimize" and review your planning settings.

The maximum number of orders per driver can be changed on a daily basis in the "Planning Settings" window that is displayed when you click on "Plan Routes".
